Calvary is proud to offer a strong music and fine arts curriculum for students in Kindergarten - 8th Grade. Art Education allows students to express themselves and think outside of the box. Fine Art classes help promote self-esteem, motivation, aesthetic creativity and appreciation of diversity.
MUSIC
All students participate in Music class once or twice per week. Students learn songs and music concepts for performance, as well as for personal pleasure. 4th Grade students learn to play the recorder. Students also participate in a "Musical Petting Zoo" as an introduction to orchestra instruments.
Calvary's Middle School Choir is a choice in the Fine Arts Curriculum. Students perform in concerts for our congregation twice per year, develop skills for IMEA state competition, and "Music in the Park" competition at King's Island.
ART
Our Art instructor provides lessons to our students in Kindergarten- 8th grades where they learn elements of art and design, as well as the style and characteristics of well-known artists. These students also begin the concepts of critiquing art.
All Calvary students participate in a Fine Arts Fair at Lutheran High School.
