Mrs. Dawn Schultz is our Middle School English teacher.

The curriculum for sixth through eighth grade English includes some of the following:

Using the Shurley Method, an approach which empowers students to employ their visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles.  Shurley uses jingles, rhythm, repetition, fun, teacher/student interaction, and a concrete set of questions about each word in a sentence to teach students how all parts of a sentence fit together.  This process enables students to understand sentence structure in order to speak and write successfully.

Students develop their writing skills by utilizing creative and technical writing projects and know-how.  They read a variety of literature to exemplify various writing styles.  Mrs. Schultz also utilizes modern literature to discuss Biblical themes as applied in today's world.
