Appearance Standards

Uniforms required for grades K-8.

 School Uniforms

1. Students should wear Board approved shirts and slacks, shorts or skorts which are clean and in good condition. (No large frays, tears, etc.) 

2. Students are allowed to wear long-sleeve shirts or turtlenecks- solid color, no graphics or writing- under the uniform polo shirt. These shirts should be of permissible uniform colors and be tucked in.

3. Collared shirts are mandatory for all Chapel days.

4. Only approved sweatshirts (bought through Calvary) are allowed. Sweaters are allowed but must be solid color, button down cardigans and be "uniform" approved.

5. All slacks, capris (pedal pushers), skorts, and corduroys are to be black, navy blue, brown, or khaki (tan).

6. Skirts must be to the knee in length and black, navy blue, brown, or khaki (tan).

7. Shorts and skorts must be from a uniform line of clothing (i.e., those purchased through Kohl's Target, Meijer, JC Penney, etc.) and are permitted year round, but are not recommended during colder months.

8. No cargo pants or painter/carpenter pants. No low rise slacks, capris, skorts, corduroys, skirts, or shorts. No embellishments (beads, embroidery, etc.) on slacks, capris, skorts, corduroys, skirts, or shorts.

9. All clothing must be size appropriate, not baggy or sloppy. Shirtsleeves should not extend past the student's wrist when arms are straight.

10. All Calvary School promotional clothing (PTL Spirit Wear, Athletic Wear) is acceptable wear. Physical education outfits are to be worn for P.E. class only.

11. Students must wear socks, except when wearing sandals. (Flip Flops are not permitted.)

12. Shoes should be laced and tied.

13. Under garments must be worn but not visible.

14. Students may not wear radical hairstyles. (Tails, Mohawks, shaved heads, coloring of hair, etc.)

15. No tattoos will be displayed.

16. No body piercing is allowed.

17. Boys may not wear earrings.

18. Girls may wear make-up that is lightly and tastefully applied.
